Wine Tasting DiGrazia Winery, Brookfield, CT, 2005 April
As a thank-you to my SCP doctor's office, I am buying 4 bottles of wine from my favorite CT winery, DiGrazia. Incidentally I will be buying some for myself as well. Each one of their wines is amazing; they've won several gold medals from their first pressing onward, and I would not hesitate to buy a bottle based on their name. They are also very experimental and daring; they produce a white port that has hints of vanilla and toasted oak to it…you could resuscitate me from the dead with it. The wines are towards the sweet and complex side. However, their winery is kind of a drive (1 hr), so I was wondering if anyone else would like to come along and make a wine tasting of it. Yes, you can get their wines locally, but I want to have access to their full selection for my presents. Date can be moved. By the way, if you are visiting me in San Diego from CT or the City, my toll is a bottle of DiGrazia port or wine.
Match Day Wine Tasting 2006 Mar
Bring a bottle of wine (or related interesting beverage) and a glass to Match Day, and we will automatically get to taste 65+ wines! Email me with your choice, which you can change, so that we don't have multiples of a vintage. Not limited to class of 2006, and if we notify the faculty, I'm sure Dr. Cinti can advise them on stellar choices. If only we could talk them out of having graduation in the parking lot as easily or having the dinner out of the cafeteria.
If we need it…anyone have any ideas on how to get 80+ drunk and happy people home? Or at least to the next party?
